The interpubic disk is a fibrocartilage disk that unites the pubic bones at the pubic symphysis. When we move there is a normal amount of motion that occurs between the pubic symphysis and the sacroiliac joints in the lower back. Muscles from the abdomen and legs attach into the pubic region. Mechanical dysfunction in the joints or muscles can manifest as pubic/groin pain. If you are having pain, you should be evaluated by a trained chiropractor who can evaluate you for the normal muscle and joint motions.
